There was a power outage that left more than 1,000 Jersey Shore customers without electricity.

A total of 1,056 customers remained without power in Monmouth County as of 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, according to JCP&L.

The cause of the outages were not immediately clear.

It's going to be a "rinse and repeat" type forecast for the next couple days, according to the National Weather Service.

A stagnant upper low will continue scattered shower chances through Friday, but none of the days will be complete washouts.
